About us

The Serology Education Foundation was established to stimulate knowledge and develop guidelines for application and interpretation of infectious diseases-related serology in daily practice. Not so much the technical execution of a serology test, but especially the correct application and the interpretation of the results determine the value of the serological diagnostics. Therefore, a group of practising medical microbiologists, specializing in virology, parasitology, bacteriology and fungi, involved in national and international external quality assessment for microbiology laboratories, has started to deliver serology courses every 3 years and develop this digital practical guide. This guide will be  available for anyone interested or involved in serology. This digital guide will be updated regularly.
